Bite dysfunction is a lack of 'harmony' or balance between the
jaw joints and teeth. Whether young or old, lack of
balance between these structures can occur. Symptoms may
range from tooth wear, receding gum tissues to excessive bone
loss and chronic joint and muscle pain, all of which become more
obvious as we age.
Some
of the symptoms of bite dysfunction are:
Grinding
at Night
Head/Neck/Shoulder aches
Receding
gum tissue and wear on teeth
A
history of ongoing dentistry including repeat root canals and
crowns
Chronic
joint and muscle pain
